Although Vajdahunyad Castle is still a castle, originally built from wood (1896) and later rebuilt with brick (1904-1908), these days it is host venue for the 'Museum of Hungarian Agriculture' (E-mail - Website - Fax: 06 1 363 2711 - Tel: 06 1 422 0765). Vajdahunyad Castle also holds various festivals and events throughout the year.

You can get to Vajdahunyad Castle in a variety of ways. You can take a 40 minute walk or 20 minute cycle from Andrassy Út and head towards City Park (and onto the castle), travel from Deák Ferenc Tér in the city centre or takie Metro M1 to the station called Széchenyi Fürdő (and onto the castle).
