Napfényfürdõ Aquapolis is a fun day out for the whole family, singles and couples!

In August 2014 I took my Girlfriend, her almost 11 Year Old Daughter and 2 Year Old Son for the first time swimming on a basic ticket, which cost a total of 11,050 HUF (son was free) back then, and must say we really enjoyed the day out. There was plenty to keep everyone very happy regardless of age and the tickets were value for money too.

We went on a week day in August, when it was less busy, and only had to wait around 5 Minutes for the Anaconda slide and around a minute or so for the other slides. The pools themselves were not crowded, to our surprise, so we enjoyed a length's swim of each pool more or less when we wanted. Since then we have been back many times during the years whereby we always enjoy the place.

UPDATE: On Wednesday August 29th 2018, 1pm, we (my now Wife, her 15 Year Old Daughter and 6 Year Old Son) went back for another swim! This time the basic ticket cost 21,150 HUF (3 Adults x 5,250 HUF and 2 Children x 2,700 HUF). Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there (we stayed for 5 hours), especially as her son was at that age where he could swim, splash, jump, slide and generally go wild!

The complex is generally open from 6am (for early bird swimmers) until 8pm. However, depending on the time of year, school holidays, swimming events, festivals and so on it's best to check the official website for Opening Hours Web Pagecurrent timetables, event tables and monthly opening hours/times.

Napfényfürdõ Aquapolis is located on the left side of Belvárosi Híd (Downtown Bridge) coming from the city centre (Széchenyi Tér). You can actually see some of the outdoor swimming pools from the foot of the bridge. Buses #5 and #7 go over the bridge and stop at Torontál Tér, one stop from the bridge. This means you have to head back towards the foot of the bridge in order to walk down the side of it, on Közép Kikötő Sor. This goes down hill until you reach Üdülők. There you will see the front entrance of Napfényfürdõ Aquapolis.

Bus #8, from my apartment for example, stops at Anna Körút (Tisza Lajos) in the city centre, as do Trams #3, #3F and #4. From Anna Körút you can take a short walk towards Széchenyi Tér, go over the bridge and then turn left down Közép Kikötő Sor until you reach Üdülők.
